The bar is made up of two facing and welded sheets of iron and zinc; immersed in boilingwatercontained in the container with which it is accompanied, it warms, highlighting, curving, the differentexpansions of the two metals.The bar was purchased by Giuseppe Allemanoof Turin in 1865.
